We meet on a Wednesday lunchtime in Brockington College. We have a mixed number of boys and girls which some are committed Christians. We share our lunch and catch up with each other. We have looked at an Alpha course which is an overview of what it means to be a Christian and looking at the Christian Faith.
We play games and are always there to listen. They are a great group of young people who are a delight to spend time with and always bring a smile to the leaders faces.
CLC gives the leaders who cover assemblies the opportunity to discuss topics in more detail and the chance to provide support in return over sensitive topics or problems that young people are facing and are troubled with.
We are a group of 30 regular children. We meet every Thursday evening 6pm until 8pm. We have a good mix of bible stories, songs, games and crafts as well as some free time too. We offer a tuck shop as well as free refreshments.
We use lots of different materials and multi media to engage the children and explain the gospel.
It’s a privilege to spend time with these children sharing Gods love, character and forgiveness through His word. Their love and laughter keeps us all on our toes as well as the tears and sadness through their worries.
Please do come along if your a parent who wants to know about the group for your child. Or if feel that you might be interested in helping and joining our team please pop in we would love to see you.
Please watch this space…. we are planning to start a new group for mums and babies in early 2017.
We share a meal and then have a short devotion followed by a time of bible study. The group is by invitation rather than age, though tends to be for the older young people in our church. We meet every other week from 5.30pm onwards to share a meal, have fun and talk about current issues we face.
At Brockington, members of our church continue to help with the assembly rota which provides assemblies twice each week. The school visits the church at Easter, Harvest and Christmas. Brockington Orchestra and Band help with the music at our youth led Service.
At Danemill, we also have church members that continue to lead assemblies throughout the year. The school continue with their support for the Streetlight Trust during their harvest appeals. The school visits the church for their Harvest And Christmas services.
We also partner with Reality Youth Project and welcome the Reality bus every Tuesday evening to Enderby. You can find out more details here.
