What We Believe
At the heart of our church family life is a trust in the living God who has revealed Himself in Jesus and still speaks to us through His Spirit-given Word, the Bible.
There are many ways of expressing the Christian gospel - the Good News of Jesus Christ. One pastor, when asked to put the gospel into a sentence, said this:
"The Gospel is the news that Jesus Christ, the Righteous One, died for our sins and rose again, eternally triumphant over all his enemies, so that there is now no condemnation for those who believe, but only everlasting joy." (John Piper, desiringgod.org).
Here is a summary many of us have found helpful in explaining what we believe to others.
We welcome not only committed Christians to join us but anyone who would like to find out more about Jesus and experience a community - a family - seeking to love and live for Him.
"For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:9-11).
