New to Church?

You're very welcome to our church whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life. We hope that here you'll find out everything you need to know about our church.

Key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church family meets every Sunday at 9:30am to worship God, learn from the Bible and equip us for living as Christians in everyday life . Aim to arrive 15 minutes early to get a parking spot and seat in time for the service to start. Meetings are as follows:

Sundays at 9.30 am (there is one service of Holy Communion each month)

Thursdays at 9.30 am Holy Communion

Sundays at 6.00pm (see Calendar/termly Programme card for details

We meet at:
Leicester Lane

You can see a map on our contact us page

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a warm welcome at the entrance to the church, along with a Bible to read and consider during the Bible teaching. Our Welcome Team will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. Every service includes songs of worship, prayers, bible readings and Bible teaching from a church leader.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service and toilet facilities are available at the back of the building. You'll find plenty of time after the service ends to meet new people, ask more questions or pray with someone about anything on your mind.

What happens with the children at church?

We have a lively programme for children at church and all leaders are DBS checked. Our programme includes:

Creche (6 months to 3 years). You'll find the creche at the back of the church, full of toys and musical instruments. Each week, different members of the church family help to man the creche so that parents can stay in the main service. The children can play, sing, enjoy a short Bible story and a drink and biscuit. Children under 6 months are also welcome.
Explorers (School years 1-4)
Pathfinders (School years 5-6)

Children stay with their parents at the start of the service as we sing together, pray and hear church news. There will be a children's talk in the main service and then the children will go out to their programme. If you aren't sure which group you should be in, someone will be happy to point you in the right direction.

For more information about what happens in the children's work please see Church Life.

Is there a dress code?

No, not at all. Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes, however you feel comfortable.

Will I have to join in?

Don't feel any pressure to join in, especially in the monthly service of Holy Communion where you are free to come up to the Lord's Table and receive prayer without having to take the bread and wine. You are free just to observe or take part as much as feels comfortable for you.
